My mother died in an automobile accident last week while on vacation in the Philippines. She went to support her oldest brother (my uncle) who was running for mayor of his town (Bauan).  She was coming back from Manila with her sister & nephew (who was driving). It was nighttime, my mom was sleeping in the back seat of the van while her sister was

I don't know if a tragedy can be described as "perfect", but it really does seem that when the time came, it came in one of the kindest ways possible. Still, the loss of someone so close to your heart is never something that's easy, even if/when it is (somewhat) expected. It's comforting to know she got back home to the islands, and that this happened late enough in the trip so she was abel (hmmm, may leave that typo ~ it's the name of C's Filipino uncle) to have first shared that precious time with her family there again. I hope your heart is filled with the love she had for you, and that you will carry that with you always.

Wow what a great role model. And though most of us would hate to lose a parent, all of us would wish the inevitable to happen in such perfect circumstances as your mum has experienced.
