Harry Potter Meme: Day Three
Yes, I did just post day two of the meme, but I knew that I wouldn't get to post tomorrow, since I have my first day of school, so I figured now would be the perfect time and maybe I'll get to post quickly on Tuesday. But in the meantime, enjoy this today.
Day Three: Is there any of the films adaptations that have made you angry because they’ve ignored important parts of the book?
None of the movies make me really angry because they ignored important parts, but some parts have definitely annoyed, like the complete absence of Peeves! He's so hilarious in the book, but then he's nowhere in the movies. I especially liked the part where Fred and George busted out of Hogwarts in the fifth book (which they could have stuck more of in the movie - it was so much fun to read!) and told Peeves to give Umbridge hell for them, but of course it was left out of the movie since there is no Peeves in the movie-verse. Not the mention no Winky at all, no Dobby in the fifth book, and absolutely no Hogwarts Battle at the end of the sixth movie. I do understand that there's only so much that the movie people can fit into the movie, especially since the books it's adapted from are so long, but for the sixth movie especially, they could have stopped adding new, random stuff, like the Burrow being attacked, and instead put in the normal stuff. So, if I had to choose one that annoyed me the most, it would be the sixth, but none of the changes really make me angry or unable to watch them again.
