Day Twenty-four: Any particular scene you wished would have been put in the movie but it wasn't
There are a ton of scenes I wished had been put in or done in the exact same way it was done in the books. The movies are adaptations, not exact replicas, and that means that there are going to be some parts that are butchered in the prosess - that's just the way the world works. I wish Peeves hadn't been left out, I wish the scene where the twins bust out of Hogwarts had been longer, I wish Dobby had been in more than the second movie, I wish there had been more stuff with the Weasley family, I wish... See, the list goes on and one. I wish that the movies were exactly like the books, but there's no way that's possible without forcing people to sit through movies that are way more than two hours long, and, face it, most people have short attention spans. I think I would be able to sit through a movie that's more than two hours long, but only if it's good, and I'm probably in the majority, and some of the purpose of the movies is to make money, which would make it a bad business decision. So, in the meantime, I'll suck it up and reread the books, imaging some scenes in my head and see the rest on the silver screen.
