It seems that as the years go on, the term EMO as a description of an individual is being thrown around and not taken the way it should be. Emo is emotional yes, those dipshits going around being a depressed attention whore, that isnt emo, there all fake, somehow someone saw emo as a new cool thing so dipshits come along and try to imitate and fail miserably, creating a sterotype. i hardly see anyone now thats truly emo, just a bunch of fake attention whores, pete dont wry about it, something new will come along eventully so they can imitate that

I agree alot with what you said, there are to many people walking around now'a'days and being like "look I'm depressed, I listen to dashboard, and my mommy didn't buy me new sunglasses, I'm emo" and that pisses me off...in my school there is this section of about thirty to forty kids, who consider themselve the emo/hardcore people, and they preach the sXe lifestyle and act so high and mighty....but when you talk to these kids, they are basically emotionally dead...emo is more then just listening to music that is fit in emo category
