Damn the food network and Ina Garten

Aug 07, 2010 17:20

So, I'm sitting on the couch watching food network because I can't get to the remote since my mother moved my crutches and the Barefoot Contessa is on. Everything she makes looks so tasty and colorful. I makes me want to give a big middle finger to the low-cal diet I'm thinking about starting.

Omg, she's making tiramisu...

Oh girl. I'm gonna be all up in your journal now. You've been warned. :-P

I got diagnosed with a metabolic disorder last summer and can't have a very long list of things any more. For awhile Food Network was painful for me too, so I share your pain. I've really been enjoying Chopped recently though. And I <3 Sandra Lee like woah.

Haha, I'm glad someone is looking at it! I use to have another account but I closed it and it feels weird starting from scratch.

I really need to eat better because I slipped and fell 2 months ago and shattered my ankle/cracked my fibula and the damage was partly to blame on my weight. But good lord, the food network KILLS me because everything looks so good! I'm obsessed with Chopped! I love seeing what they come up with considering the insane ingredients they are given! Plus, I like getting a thrill whenever someone uses the ice cream machine, lol.

Sorry. Posted this to the main instead of directly to you.I feel the same way. :) The only times I get comments on my personal journal are when I fake-link from fic comms to the entries in my journal. It's part of why I stopped writing in the journal itself - if it's just for me, I have pen and paper. I keep getting these random urges to start again, and I'll be really good for a month or two, and then I feel like I just run out of things to say. So I stop again. I'm not too stressed over it ( ... )

I'm the same way, I did really well for awhile and then it's like I run out of steam. I'm going to try and update this one regularly though.

My family jokes that I have bird bones because I'm always breaking weird bones in my body, lol. I'm out of my cast now and in a boot and the doctors told me I can start walking on the boot in a week. Unfortunately, I still have to get a rod removed from my leg in a few weeks and I'm dreading it. I hate surgery. Sorry to hear about your ankle and knee, I heard knee surgery sucks so much!

And yes, I saw that episode! When they started crusting that fish with the oreos I almost threw up, but when it was finally served it looked pretty good. Is that the one where they both made french toast for dessert? I hate when the judges get on their case about something being too much like breakfast to count as dessert...haven't they ever heard of breakfast for dinner?
