This is Oz, I can't come to the phone right now, so leave a message. Or don't, I'll find out who rang one way or the other.

The first several seconds of Bay's message for Priestly were garbled static, but then:

" -- so do you want a mural on the back wall or anything? I'd even give you design approval. Let me know."

"Lady, I don't know who you are, but you're clearly doing something highly illegal. How about you share it with the rest of the class, no uprisings necessary?"

Peter was completely ignorant of the whole phone debacle, because he hadn't had to leave his room at all. His computer sufficed.

Unfortunately, then he decided to take a bathroom break.

For the last time, my dearest legume, I'm withholding this information until it's useful. The deaths of thousands you're talking about that may or may not occur are simply not relevant to the situation.

Dinah was confused and a little annoyed at Emma, so her voice was sharper than usual here.

"Okay, one, I know you know I'm not a virgin. Two, I've never needed anybody's pity. I'm just not into one-night stands, for crying out loud. I at least like to be friends with the people I'm having sex with. And three, what is your problem? Or should I even ask?"
