This is the Master Post for all fics contained within Children of the Gun, my killjoy 'verse (subtitle: my life's work).
THANKS TIMES A MILLION to my cheerleader/beta/idea-figuring-outers:
restlesslikeme,
inabathrobe and
kazzbot. Without them, none of this would be outside of my head/as good as it is.
Seriously though.
PLEASE NOTE that I AM following the (questionable) plot laid out by MCR in their music videos (for the unfamiliar:
"Na Na Na", and
"SING").
This means that there is some fairly substantial character death. At the end of every video and consequently in the fanfiction as well. So be warned! If you cannot stomach character death, be warned that it happens.
Twice. (Or more, in a few cases.)
How does that work? If you want to find out, then I'd suggest you read on, killjoy.
EDIT 10.6.2014: Updating again, only on AO3.
NOTE: Instead of uploading my own PDFs (which was time consuming), I'm uploading all fics to Archive Of Our Own, where there is a handy "Download PDF" button built in, so hopefully everyone's okay with that!

PART 1: DESERT HEAT
Livejournal |
AO3Summary: Frank Iero has spent the majority of his life in and under Battery City. When he meets the notorious gang of outlaws that call themselves "The Fabulous Killjoys", his life is turned on its head. But much like Frank, the Killjoys are not what they seem. Through the roaring roads of the desert, and the winding tunnels of underground life that eat at the base of Battery City, Frank (Fun Ghoul), Ray (Jet Star), Grace, Mikey (Kobra Kid), and Gerard (Party Poison) find that they have a place, nestled out in the zones, that they can call home. When their way of life is threatened by Battery City's government, the Better Living Industries, the Fabulous Killjoys put everything they have on the line to protect the place they have fought so hard to call their own.
