Just gonna state my opinion on this post lol! Just my opinion mind you so yeah.

Sometimes, it's difficult for a writer to find a beta. I have a beta, at last, and it's taken me, I kid you not, six years to find one. I am not well known in the community of the MCR fandom. People rarely befriend me. I don't know why this is, it just seems to happen a lot in fandoms. But it's taken me so long to find a beta because any beta I've tried with beforehand just doesn't get it.

By "it" I mean how I write. A lot of the time people comment on my un-speechmarked dialogue. Or the fact I use too many fullstops and betas try to change this. But I've written it that way. It's not a mistake. It's how I write. So unless it's like spelling or whatever, I wouldn't automatically assume that it's a mistake. Maybe it's meant to read that way.

As for the unAmerican thing yeah that does put me off too. I try really hard to make sure that my language is as American as possible. Unless of course it's set elsewhere. Which it never is LOL!

Thank you poppy for your comment on this post.

Could I be your beta? I've some of your stuff, it is very different. I'd say, unique? So yeah, I get what you're saying. Not everybody rights the same. Sometimes readers perfer (did I spell that right? I hope so) different styles of writing than others. But yeah, your work-I like it. Did you need some help? Or know anyone who does?

You know where to find me, poppy heart.

:)
