(no subject)
A couple of weeks ago, I acquired a set of Ninjabread Men cookie cutters. Today I had nothing better to do (other than CLEAN ALL THE THINGS for Christmas, urgh), so I made ninjabread!
They're a bit... puffy. I didn't roll the dough out enough, apparently. The next batch was a bit better since I had less dough to work with. But hey, for a first effort, at least they're not carbonised or anything.
First attempt at icing. Not too shabby (I had a practice cookie which I went mental on beforehand to get an idea of how the icing worked) but it took me about three cookies to get the eyes right. Ish.
Progress shots! I gave Mum the camera and she took my instructions to 'take pictures of whatever, I need to keep icing these' literally. I made a few blue ones because... underwater ninjas? *shrug*
And finally, my new ninja army! MOO HA HA. The yellow blobs were meant to be throwing stars, but the yellow icing refused to cooperate beyond WHEE, BLOB TIME.
The green one is green because his name is Derpy Ninja. His arm broke off before I decorated him, so I smooshed it back on with some icing. It didn't work, so I put lots of red icing on the stump and gave it to my brother. He took a picture of Derpy for his blog. I was amused.
