There is nothing wrong with loving twisted villains, I promise. ^.~
I loved Draco in this book. Absolutely, positively loved him more than I ever have before. Crying in the bathroom...
To me, one who has never been fond of the possibility of Harry/Ginny, it seemed very out of nowhere and forced. In fact, the only romance I was fond of in a book that seemed desperately full of it was Ron/Hermione - because there'd been built up. Harry seemed very suddenly "OMG GINNY!", and she seemed very...bitchy.
Remus/Tonks just made me go 'bzuh?' Talk about random and forced.
And there was Harry/Draco subtext exploding all over the place. 'Obsessed'. *snickers*
Oh yesh, the H/D subtext was OMG-in-your-face. *snickersnicker* I kept thinking, "Gee, if one just strung all of these subtext sentences together... one could have the basis for canon!H/D...! *Mwahahaa.
Oh good. I should go look at that locket thing. (Didn't reread #5 afore #6. Bad Chel.) I surely hope Dumbledore wasn't Betrayed... but it sure looks that way, eh? I am still all teary-eyed about it, too. :(
oh, i was teary-eyed all during that horrid harry-making-him-drink-the-potion scene, and then after he died, i bawled like a little baby. i almost had to put the book down... :(
yeah... i'm on a snape-hating thing. i wanted to delete absolutely everything of on my computer that had anything to do with him... i think dumbledore was horribly betrayed, but now that you mention it... was it his orders to snape to make the unbreakable vow? i don't remember reading that. and i honestly don't think he would die before he saw it out with harry... but...but yeah, dumbledore asking snape to kill him... that brings it to a new light.. may very well be the reason why snape insisted that harry not call him a coward
( ... )
Oh yeah... That Snape thing musta been pretty hard on you. I know what you meant when you were talking in your journal about living the books instead of just reading them. After I was done with this one, my brain couldn't get out of the mode of living it. Tis why I was up so late contemplating everything. It's weird though, isn't it, that I who never really had a thing for Snape or really any feelings about him at all, honestly believe that he's good and will be redeemed, and you, who liked him etc. believed the worst and think he's a true traitor? I got the same kind of reacation vibes from some of the message boards on fiction alley and thought it was kinda ironic.

and i HATE snape... i doubt the double agent theory. instead i think (like sara) that dumbledore was horrendously Betrayed.
you're right. J.K. Rowling is a terribly brave woman. i hate her (and love her) so much right now.
