A lot has changed since last wrote, but I haven't had any time to so much as think about getting to a computer.
I got a job at the Family Dollar, but it's in a shitty part of town with constant shoplifting. Pretty much 50% of the people that walk in the door take something and that's not an exaggeration. There's no security guard, the camera footage is only reviewed, not monitored. If the manager is in the back room taking out the trash, the cashier is stuck at the front of the store by themselves. If the store were to get robbed at that point, the manager might not even know (and this has happened in the past) until it's all over and the robber is gone. Often, I've seen people run out with merchandise and yelled for management and they won't come up for minutes. :P

So, even though I get good hours and make more at this store than I was at AJ wright (because they were cheap bastards), I am often afraid at work and figure they're about due for a robbery again, so it's only a dice-roll away from me being the cashier with the gun in her face. I work six days a week more often than not, so I don't have a lot of time off to do things like look for a job. I barely find the time to stay on top of chores around the house. Laundry is always piling up and the kitchen is usually a mess.

I gave my kitty back to my mom last month when my brother needed a place to stay. We had to really deep clean the bedroom for him since the cat had taken to marking his territory all over. He was pretty good about sticking to his litter box for a long time, but would sometimes get mad about something or other. He was a bit pissed when we bought two ferrets (a boy and a girl, with a big cage- they're pretty cool!) since we wouldn't let him play with them. He wanted to get rough and bite them and we didn't want them getting into a nasty fight so they were limited in their interactions.

But, anyway. We gave my brother a month, but it's stretched a little longer than that. We didn't charge rent, so hopefully he's saved up some now that he's moving in with someone else.

I can't even list the movies we've seen since the last time.
Campire's Assistant, Extract, Percy Jackson, Spy Next Door, Blind Side... We even watched True Blood up thru season 2, It's surprisingly addictive, even if it is kind of cheezy, and seems a little gratuitus on the sex scenes and "love drama". Better than the Vampire Diaries, that's fo' sho'. Sure, the Vampire Diaries probably made awesome books. But that doesn't mean you have to love the TV show. The TV show is so... dumbed down. I watch it and feel like I would buy it better if I were 13 and didn't know better. So much melodrama and sappy loveness. I liked the sappy loveness between Buffy and Angel a lot better. Maybe I just expect too much.

By the way, has anyone else realised that this world is not going to get any better and it's going to be practically anarchy by the time the next generation get to be our age? If I have a kid now, what's the likelihood that he'll either be killed before 21 or incarcerated??
