I've been in Chicago now since Tuesday.
Snow. Everywhere. Deep. Cold. Cleansing. Fun. Happy.
This time I find myself at ease. The accumulated stress is slowly being lifted. I'm not imbibing the city as I wished before train arrived. I'm okay with that.

I know I don't get it ...I guess people [the internet] just don't have good taste anymore. the EP as a whole is great! Melodramatic, fluid, theatrical. what more could one ask for...

i asked my spanish teacher in high school what kind of music she listened to. she told that she listened to the kind of stuff she liked in college. i kind of scoffed.

now that i'm out of college for a few years, i take pleasure in knowing that i never have to impress any wannabe music journalists about music at a party. and that if i don't know who a band is, i won't have to compete with college radio or my friends or anyone else. i can just take suggestions and listen to whatever and not have to worry about any kind of trend ever again. freedom for pretentiousness.

saying that, i really like that EP.

and totally agree i don't really give a fuck about my music being enjoyed by all others. I just need to enjoy it ...
