I just finished reading the whole thing. It wasn't too shabby. Blaming the Bush Administration was an interesting point since Dub-ya isn't too keen to matters of environmental awareness.

Wow. Thank you for completly missing the entire point of my essay. First off, last I checked, the environment IS important. That is great if you are so non-concerned about the quality of the world you live in. It is not President Bush's fault that Lake Erie has always had many problems, but it is his fault for changing the way things were being done and letting it die again. For your information, the people who live around the lake WERE helping it, and it was doing much better for the last 30 years. IT just so happens that once Bush changed the policy...(“In January 2003 the Bush administration issued a directive that instructed its agencies not to enforce the Clean Water Act to protect many wetlands, small streams and other waters without first obtaining permission from headquarters.” ) he took that right away. Since there are so many other things that we do need to be worrying about, he should not have changed that law. Second, there is no reason for a person who is not an environmentalist to be rewritting environmental laws. ( ... )

Welcome back to our personal pathetic hell, Beki!
hahah...I just noticed that you've come back to LJ land, and I'm glad to have some kind of slight contact with you again.
Alas, I didn't read your essay, as my eyes are tired. But if it bashes Bush, then I like it.
G'day, miss.
