I can't remember where I found this--it was ages ago. I just saved it as a word document. Anyway, since my muse is lazy, I'm using this to try and remind him what he's there for. Here that, muse? Get to work!
1. Which is your favorite fic?
Good question. I'm really fond of On Doubting and Blessings, for Good Omens. But I think my actual favorite is Power of the Pen, for Sherlock Holmes.
2. Which is your best-received fic?
Most definitely Power of the Pen. I was very glad, because I had a LOT of fun writing it :)
3. Which is your worst-received fic?
Sheesh, I dunno... I have a feeling it's going to be Make Friends with Strange Cats, but of the ones that were already written, I'd have to say Wrong Side of the Law, again for Sherlock Holmes. People liked it, but it just didn't get as many reviews as the others, and, frankly, I'd be the first to admit it wasn't very good :-P
4. Which is your angsty-est fic?
Worth a Wound for Sherlock Holmes. I think I laid on the heavy emotional metaphors a little thick, in hindsight, but it did the job. Although, some of my ficlet/drabble-ish things that I've been doing for
watsons_woes watsons_woes have been even angstier, now that I think about it.
6. Smuttiest?
There's only one type of writing I've ruled out entirely, and that's smut. I'd be bad at it, and unless it's well done I think it can detract tons from the point of the work. Unless the point is smut, in which case I just have no interest.
7. Fluffiest?
Probably The Chess Game, again for Sherlock Holmes.
8. Have you ever made someone cry with a fic?
A couple people, apparently, with the drabble-ish-ficlet-thing that I wrote for the prompt "Faint" for
watsons_woes . I didn't know whether to feel good about my writing or feel bad that I was making people cry :-/
9. Which fic frustrates you the most?
This still titleless fic that I'm doing for Firefly--it takes place before the series starts, explaining how Wash and Zoe's relationship progressed to their eventual marriage before the start of the series. I have all these good ideas, but I can't seem to get them to come out right.
10. Which fic was the most fun to write?
Yeesh... I don't know if I can choose. Probably Power of the Pen, although I always have great fun with Aziraphale and Crowley, so maybe On Doubting and Blessings, or the New Year's Resolutions fic (which I have yet to complete... *hides*)
11. Who is your favorite OC you've ever created?
Jacob Ward. He was a mailman in an ancient fic which is now dead and buried, but I liked him, so I resurrected him as a doctor in Sherlock Holmes. He's also probably the most annoying OC I've ever created--I didn't write him to be liked; any character who alliterates like he does is going to make enemies. He's just supposed to act as a foil. But he and I get along well, so I bring him back as often as possible.
12. Are you better at oneshot or mulitpart?
Erk? Probably oneshot, although I consider POTP to have been my best work, and that was multipart.
13. What character do you think you're the best at portraying?
Aack! Um... Aziraphale and Lestrade, I guess. Aziraphale is optimistic, for the most part--he sees the best in people (then again, he can't really help it). Always several steps behind in matters of culture, much to Crowley's annoyance. Lestrade, on the other hand, is cynical, and has learned to take the chaos that follows Mr. Holmes somewhat in stride.
14. What character is the most difficult to portray?
Zoe of Firefly, without a doubt. Her husband isn't too easy either.
