101 Things in 1001 Days

Jan 21, 2008 16:25

For the last two weeks, I've been working on a list of 101 Things to complete in 1001 Days. My list is finally finished, and I start tomorrow. Most things on the list are things that I've wanted to do for a long, long time, so hopefully this will be motivation to actually do them ( Read more... )

That's a great list. I can help you with some! In fact, some you will definitely need my help with!

Have you printed the list off? We should put it in the gold book or something, to make it easier to check things off when they're complete.

This is a really good idea. I need to try it!

You can accomplish #58, #61 and #80 with a trip downstate. There are several orchards for apple picking nearby and a few wineries within a short driving distance. We also have summer festivals.

I love tulips too but keep in mind that they decline after a few years (unlike daffodils or other bulbs that increase and can be divided). Doesn't stop me from planting them though!

We'll have to plan a summer trip to visit you guys, and go on some adventures!

This is a cool list.

Number 65 surprised me since you generally strike me as an indomitable sort of person. Do you know how to drive and avoid doing it, or need to learn? For that matter, does John know how to drive?

Also, big ups for number 99. Als das Kind, Kind war...

I got my license right before I met John, so only about 4 years ago. I zoomed around in the burbs for a bit (not very well, mind you), hand a minor car-scraping, and lost my interest in driving. I never really liked it anyway. John owned a car when we met, but we ditched it when he stopped working in the burbs. Other than him driving to work, we would use the car maybe three times a year. We're just walkers.

I've been threatening to show John Wings since we met, and he's been threatening to make me watch Stripes for nearly as long. Maybe your vote for Wings will increase John's enthusiasm!

It does... not that I can recall you showing me anything I couldn't at least tolerate... and most of what you've shown me I've genuinely liked.

There's also the sequel, "Faraway So Close," which is equally worth seeing.

I have to warn you, learning to cook ribs may take repetition, lots of finger-licking repetition.

Also, I have several books by Haldor Laxness, Iceland's (only?) Nobel Prize Winner for Lit.

Second also, I suspect that I am going to have to make a list like this myself.

Ooh, I would like to borrow a book please! Thanks!

It took me about two weeks to generate a full list. If you google 101 in 1001, you come across the main website where every participant posts their lists.

Ooo, doubling your D&D character's level in only 2.75 years? John better get writing, or else set aside a lot of money for modules. :)

I've read Lipstick Traces. It's very good.
