So I now approach kidfic with joy and trepidation, because either it's going to make me happy all day long or it's going to make me write yet another lengthy mental post entitled Pregnancy and Childrearing: Actual Facts, Because You Seem Not to Have Any Even Though the Internet Is Totally Full of Them.

I KNOW. OMG.

Ahem. Welcome to my universe.

I keep reading stories and being like, you don't even have to look this stuff up! Just get a beta who has a child under 10! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, GET A BETA WITH A KID!

norah was actually planning a Pregnancy and Childrearing: Tips on Writing It, from ACTUAL PARENTS post. I realize it'd be hard, and she's way way way too busy right now, but I still want one. Because - well, you know why.

When you say 'plays anything', do you mean multi-region? (will play American and Japanese and European DVDs) *watches post with interest*

My current one actually does have an easy multi-region hack, so that it would play any region DVDs. Yup!

I have a Philips DVP5990, which has a slot for a flash drive. The disks I don't burn! I am assured the region-free hack is quite easy, although I've never had to do it.

Seah and Merry have an awesome DVD player with USB slot (I don't remember the brand) -- that would be the most important feature (for me) in a new DVD player.

I bought it after VVC (this is the exact make and model the con uses, btw). Best. Thing. EVER.

(Although I am kind of sad that there won't be a sequel, because that so obviously would be titled Row Row Row Your Boat.)
I am laughing so hard right now! And I've had that story opened in a tab for 10 days. I shall get around to it. *determined*

It's really, really worth it. There is ACTION MOVIE CHEESE. You can't beat that.

fan fiction writers actually know when they're writing slash, most of the time; pro writers often don't.

*coughWhiteCollarcough*

Well, to be more accurate, they don't seem to know that they're writing OT3.

And it is SO BAFFLING, because honestly, how do you miss it?

I KNOW, right?

But - but. I am confused. I haven't seen the show, but I have seen that one picture - the guy kissing the woman, while he's handcuffed to the other guy. How can that not be textual OT3? I don't understand!
