Staying positive in any situation is a habit, nothing more. I used to be the world's most miserable person to the point I got put on a friend's email list as "Eeyore". I had an attitude adjustment some years back and slowly forced myself to change. It really is just habit, as much as anything else. The world affects us, but so too do we affect the world.
Crud. I guess your browser is not unicode-friendly. They were the Chinese characters for "Ho Ping", a taiwanese filmmaker... ;^)
And, thanks - fortunately the conjunctivæ were not painful at all - in fact, I didn't even know I had one until people started looking at me with horror and revulsion in their eyes! XD

I've had several conjunctivæ, they always provoke "What in the world happened to you‽"
Your speck may continue to fade with time... anyway, here's 何平!

Firstly, ouch! I hope those conjunctivæ were not to painful.
Second, part of your post was changed into non-ASCII text. What was the word just before the exclamation mark?
