As I said on Facebook, I saw Green Lantern this morning to determine just how bad it was...and left disappointed. For it was not horrible, after all. It was not good. Plot points made little sense. ANd thew main hero was a consistent asshole throughout the movie, even after getting his powers. But overall it was really just harmless and mostly

Yeah, all true. I thought X-Men was better, Fox finally got it (close to) right. So was Thor, obviously. I expect Captain America will be better, too. I hope someone calls Warner/DC on the script for GL so they make do better for future DCU movies.

You did see my complaint about how DC characters seem to not care about anything except when their love interest is threatened, right?

My reaction after seeing it was "Oh, another superhero movie in Rich White People Land."

Angela Basset was the only black woman in the movie, and Michael Clarke Duncan didn't even get billing.

I found it thoroughly boring, but yeah, not *bad.*
