indydark is right: granville Island is NOT an island at all, and it reminded me of St. Lawrence Market too - combined with Harbourfront. Some rather overpriced touristy shops selling native art and other work by local artists. I wish I could have afforded some of the things they had, but no. terig spent a few hours wandering there, then returned to her ( Read more... )

Asian Vegetarian?? indydark March 28 2005, 17:48:19 UTC
I think the only difference between the Asian Vegetarian and the "Normal" Vegetarian meals is that the Asian is served with chopsticks and the other is served with cutlery. LOL. I really am not sure. Think it's just "Asian" themed cuisine. Flying is like growing up. You can't choose your family and you can't chose your row partners. Sometimes I think that it might just pay to buy two seats.

I'm not sure if you've heard, but there are rumblings that Jetsgo might get 'reinstated' as an airline. I know that I'll be lining up to buy more seats with them. (NOT!!!)

Welcome home Mir. So, when are we getting together and have a group presentation of your trip, along with the fashion show?

Talk to you soon.

Mucho Huggos.

David

Weird thing was I saw people at the Jetsgo counter when I left. I had this urge to go up to them and say "Do you people have any idea how much hassle you have caused me??!!" but I figured it wasn't *their* fault, so I stayed quiet.

Glad you had a good time. I just wish we could have done a bit more, or even go out to one of the really nice restaurants for dinner or lunch. Next time!

Sounds like you got a real winner on the plane home. Ugh. I think some folks were raised in a barn.

I really enjoyed having you over too! You're a great guest, and thanks for making dinner (I just boiled the perogies, so really I didn't do much) and you're welcome to stay with me again next time you come for a visit.

And if you move out to the Island, I'll come visit you lots. :)

Welcome Home Mir :) !

{hugs}

I came across a neat website the other day:

http://www.airlinemeals.net

It has reviews and pictures of meals served on all kinds of airlines and flights :).

Air Canada itself claims to serve 17 different kinds of special meals:

http://www.aircanada.com/en/travelinfo/onboard/dining/specialmeals.html

but they don't give pictures or detailed information :(.

I'm taking Friday off work so can go places that day. Saturday night is Rosemary's birthday. Wanna come out? Or Sunday is wide open for me. What are you up to?

I was thinking of going to Rosemary's (although I've never met her). Sunday is wide open for me.
