What's a physicist to do?
One of the things I want to use this blog for (when I actually get around to posting to it regularly) is writing down ideas I have in order to clarify them to myself; I have a feeling they'll start off rather incomprehensible, for which I apologise... hopefully later posts will make things clearer as they develop in my mind. I guess the only thing that all the lifeforms on earth, and indeed through the universe if they exist, is that they are bound by physical laws. An evolution agruement might leave you high and dry because some things...prions...do not quite fit in. I mean, hell, I find bacteria freakishly different to each other, but by comparing any two humans they even have different bacteria living in them, egads!
But what exactly are you looking for?
The general shape of conscieousness/awareness in lifeforms?
