Even though I should be classified as the young one, I feel old every day standing in front of a bunch of 14 and 15 year olds. They never fail to bring me back to reality when I make a comment about something I consider to be fairly recent and when I get a bunch of blank stares I remember, "Oh yeah, that probably happened around the time you guys were like 2!" Oh man, I feel it al the time. I mean I guess 24 is not terribly to still be in undergrad studies, but it seems like it sometimes. Regardless, I am very grateful for the life I led before I went to school. I have a confidence and facility with life that few freshman posses. Not living on campus helps. I knew that if I happened to get stuck in a dormroom with a particularly uppity freshman that one of us was going to take a little trip through the window...and can you see some kid throwing this? (points to bigger-than-life self)

The parents have been back at the old homestead since June 2000!

Glad you didn't really fall off the edge of the earth. I've missed you.
