i want to get my parents cable for christmas... but i don't know how to go about doing this. i googled "basic cable" but it didn't really bring up anything...

what kind of cable do you guys have? do you know what's the cheapest out there, and how long does a contract usually last?

no, i was going to pay for it ongoing for a year... but it's ok, i ended up getting them a dvd player.
