The sound of the blow dryer drowned out the sound of the front door opening. Elwood made his way inside of her apartment and he could hear that she was in the bathroom. She growled to himself as he was not in a good mood anymore. The walk to her apartment made him have time to think. Not once did she tell him about what was going on. She had held information to him that was important. He made his way into her bedroom and sat himself down on her bed while he waited for her to come back in from the bathroom.
Kacie finally turned off the blow dryer and wrapped her towel around her. She left the bathroom and walked herself down the hallway to her bedroom. As she walked into her bedroom she gave a jump as she did not expect to see him in her bedroom. He didn't look too happy. She frowned some, "What are you doing back here so fast? Is there something wrong?"
He nodded his head and reached in to grab the note from inside his jacket, "Yes. I found this when I got back to my place." Kacie trailed her eyes down to the note and she had a feeling in the back of her head that she did not want to read that note. She stepped up to him and took the note as she started to read it. She frowned as she looked back down at him and gave a heavy sigh, "I'm sorry that I didn't tell you about this earlier. I was still in shock from the whole matter."
Elwood wasn't buying it and he crossed his arms and waited silently for her to say something else. His mind wasn't quiet though as he narrowed his eyes under his sunglasses. Kacie sighed again and she took a seat on her bed next to him. She ran a hand through her wet hair as she thought of a way to say this that would not make him more mad at her. She looked down at her floor, "A few years ago I was having some problems with money and well I got myself involved with the Mob. Now it seems they want me to pay them the money back. I don't have the money to do it."
His mouth dropped a little bit as she said this. He was not expecting this at all, "You got my brother kidnapped by the Mob, because you couldn't pay them back in time?" He was really mad now, but his tone had not changed as he looked at her. She frowned more, "I'm sorry. I didn't know that they would go after him." She finally turned to look up at him and she had tears in her eyes. He frowned this time, as he did not want to make her cry but it seemed he had. He couldn't help himself and he reached a long fingered hand out and cupped her cheek as this seemed to calm her down, "I'm sorry I lost my temper for a moment. I'm just as scared as you are. I have no idea of what they are going to do to my brother. I hope they do not do anything bad. Do they have your phone number?"
She leaned her head against his hand and shut her eyes, "Yes, they have my number." She suddenly had an idea but she didn't know how much it would work, "Maybe when they call me back I could hand the phone to you?"
He blinked a few times and shook his head, "I'm not sure that will be such a good idea. I think they might get mad and do something to Jake. I think it just might make things worse than they already are."
Kacie thought about this, "So how am I going to make the money I owe them?" He sighed some, "Well tell me how much you need to give back to them?" She licked her lips, "One thousand."
Elwood laid on his back on her bed as he thought about this. His mind raced with things, but the only thing that he could think of was to sing. But how was he suppose to put on a show with the other half missing. He turned to look at Kacie, who had moved to lay down next to him. He had to smile at the sight of her. She really was pretty, with her slowly drying hair and the towel still wrapped around her. He was tempted to pull the towel off of her and roll on top of her. He shook the thought from his mind. That would come later, "Can you sing?"
She gave a small giggle, "I can sing. Think we should hold a concert of some kin?" He gave a nod of his head, "If you give me some time tomorrow, I can call some friends I know and get them to come out this way and be our band." Kacie smiled again, "Alright."
He smiled and then sat up as he grabbed the end of her towel and pulled it from her body. Kacie gave a squeal and covered her self with her hands as best as she could while she blushed. He gave a grin as he looked down at her, "Oh wow. You are very attractive like that." She gave another blush as she slowly pulled her hands away to show off herself to him. Without another word he stood up and undressed himself fully. She moved herself under the covers and he joined her. She giggled again as she turned the bedside lamp light out and pulled him close to her for a night they both needed badly.
