Things Are Cool.

The following things, as well as other ones, are cool.

1. The Graduate Assistant Strike

I don't even know whether their cause is cool anymore, I've heard so many conflicting opinions that it seems as if both sides are assholes. Still, I wholeheartedly support the strike. This is due less to the fact that I support their cause, and more that I ( Read more... )

is that Life and Death class like the mortality class you started taking freshman year?

and i second your approval of the Constant Gardener, even if people who garden constantly can, in fact, be a bit off-putting at first.

No, that one was about death. This one takes a less partisan position.

Regarding #3 - you kick INTENSE amounts of ass.
If I ever get scammed, I will pay you to help me (hopefully) kick similar levels of ass.

I'm glad I already knew that Ralph Fiennes was Voldemort else that would've been very distracting information. But yeah, WEIRD. I hope he does a good job; I dont know if he's very creepy. I only know that his brother is incredibly, one might even say excessively, attractive.

Maddy drinks whiskey?!

The part he left out was that I was so INTENSELY drunk at that point that the whiskey tasted like a glass of water. I remember nothing that I said to anyone, though I think I threatened to school some girl at Soul Caliber, which is RIDICULOUS because I suck at that game. Also I remember comparing Glod and I to Link and Zelda, which makes sense, sort of.
I would like to try whiskey again while sober, because I will probably hate it, and it will be fun to think about how when I was drunk, I didn't hate it.

Glod, your lawyer-letter pwns.
My lit class is called "Love and Death," which sounds cooler. Who NEEDS life. ::is goth::

that is crazy. I thought you didn't get that drunk. still, amusing. I've never gotten to a point where I didn't remember things or where I stopped disliking (on some level, anyway) the taste of alcomahol.

I took a love & death class, except it was called Eros & Thanatos. I guess this is a common theme.

I actually really hate getting that drunk and was pretty angry at myself the following day. I always kind of forget what a lightweight I can be ... especially on the South Beach diet, and the fact that I generally never drink.

well, the post was ABOUT TO END, but it didn't. in fact, i'm still reading it. past the "watch out." you've got post-spewage, man. it's just GOING AND GOING. something about law and morality and mortality and other misprisions.

somethings i'll concur on:
1. good job with the unscamming. well played, leopard spot defender!
2. is the life & death class the philosophy class with ruddick? if so, he's supposed to be EXCELLENT.
3. it is my contention that the strike is NOW primarily cool because it encouraged a 'faux-test' (erm, protest) in the form of the great pointed archer fan club...i.e. rat lovers anonymous. such times as these. oh, and we're having class for one of my seminars in the prof's apartment. he's still not taken down his cardboard halloween scary face. and he's got streamers and balloons over his living room table. it's delightful.
4. see you for lunch EVENTUALLY EVENTUALLY SOON SOON NOW!

2. Yes! And, good! I almost went for "Minds and Machines" with Vlahos because her reputation is stellar, but ultimately I already know a whole lot about the topics there because they're so nifty. Good to know Ruddick's a good choice on both counts, then.
3. Fauxtest! Both a great word and thing. Gotta love political turmoil when at heart it's just good fun, e.g. the Stalin era.
4. Slander! I mean, yes!

Also, STOP READING MY POST.

i must say, you really put those LSAT powers to work in that letter.

"go on, bitch, try to find weakness in my argument."

that said, glad you didn't get scammed like you were probably on track to.

too bad, it was to be an interesting endeavor.

The best part is, they didn't technically do anything wrong, but reading just that letter, you wouldn't know that. They didn't actually promise he'd be contacted by employers. Basically, he's just exposing their overall scam, and since they know they're guilty of that, they were like, "ohshit he figured it out." At least, that's what I think.
Plus it's a deeyamn fine lettar. ::golf clap::

I'm glad you appreciate the nuances of my manipulation - it's like when someone in your writing class gets the subtle but crucial metaphor that you've pointedly concealed as a sort of challenge.

...I think the fact that I see this as both fun and a sort of art form really exacerbates the necessity of law school.

Haha. That and you have way too much fun being a jerk. ::high fives:: That is why I looove youuu!

We're like ... the male and female villains in a cartoon who are only together 'cause they're both s'damn evil no one else would be with them. Mwahahaha.

That's not true though. EVERYBODY wants us.

Well, it was the same information I had found, but further reinforcement based on your experience is always good.

I'd say just make up a word, it seems fewer and fewer people are listening to them anyway!
