I knew a lot of this info, but some of it was new to me. I don't drink coke, or any pop for that matter. Well, I do VERY rarely. You forgot to mention that when one drinks a can of coke (or other pop) they overdose on sugar, but another ingredient in the coke prevents you from throwing up (which you would normally do after consuming that much sugar at once). People should check the label on a can of coke and see how many grams of sugar it has, then take that much pure sugar and put it in front of them. Might work as an anti-coke (or anti-pop) trick. It did for me, as I wanted to throw up after I saw how much sugar that was. Fuck, gross. Oh, just for information: sugar is the most dissolvable substance known. You can dissolve TWO KILOGRAMS - that's right, two thousand grams - of sugar in one liter of water (one thousand grams of water). Sounds gross? It sure is. You can only dissolve 200 grams of salt in one liter of water.
