Porter-Grits-speak: How about Perspectives every once in a while, rather than Enternewsment/Sports? :P

Ehh, the issue I have with the "perspective" posts is that I'm required to do all sorts of reading and understanding for my classes, and I really don't want to use my brain when I come on LJ. I think they're mutually exclusive.

I'm going to stray away from asking about political leanings...because I'm sick of hearing about politics. So how about something cultural, like favorite classical artist? P.S. Are you still interested in coming to my fraternity's semi formal? It's April 19 at Knights of Columbus and Zilan is going to try to make it as well.

As far as classical artists go, it's an interesting question. There are multiple ways of interpreting it, so I'll go through all of them. The first meaning could be, who is my favorite composer of music considered to be "classical." I would answer J.S. Bach, in a heartbeat. Then, a bit more specifically, if you were asking about the "classical" period, then it would be Mozart - his piano concerti are fun! Finally, the last interpretation that I'll offer is who my favorite performer of classical music is. Dead: Glenn Gould. That man could play Bach like no other. Now, I'd probably answer Ton Koopman. :P

Kendall, I honestly really want to go, but the following week is the last real week of class, and I have at least one final paper due in the following week :( I'm sorry, I really did want to go and have a blast hanging out with you and Zilan again in some sort of social (not at the movies) situation.

You do have good taste in music. And it's okay that you're not able to go, this was my final semi-formal as an undergrad, and I wanted you and Zilan there to reconvene and reminisce. April is a shitty month for all of us...I have five papers due before exams even begin. Good luck finishing the term!

I'm not sick of politics, but I'll go with something else for now.... What are three habits/things/constants in your life that keep you happy?

Dancing
Running
and Learning new music - especially P.D.Q. Bach. It's just wild to play.
