The Golden Seeker Recs Letter - Halloween Edition
I've been given an opportunity to take over The Golden Seeker this week and I decided to use it to celebrate my favorite holiday. I've a variety of characters and themes though so hopefully you've all feel treated rather than tricked! So here is a little something to set the stage so to speak:

*This is a fantastic piece of writing. Most characters mentioned the characterization of Zach here. (And how hot the hate sexin' was.) But what struck me about this story was Ginny. Both vulnerable and tough, she's a girl who will grow up to be one hell of a woman!

Tonks's assistance, although annoying, does have its perks.
*This is set during the Trio's fourth year so the interaction between the sassy, combat boot wearing Auror and the up and coming bureaucrat is a delight. Especially when they come into contact with a spell cast (or perhaps mis-cast) by Hagrid! The ensuing holiday themed smut is a treat so sit back and enjoy.....

That was something they had in common at least - that, loneliness and scars.
*I adore how real both George and Lavender are here. They could have been me and someone I knew..... But this is also a lovely hurt/comfort tale with perhaps a new beginning.

*This is very detailed and imaginative. The author manages to capture many shifting scenes and moods as if they are passing through a crystal ball but the overall effect manages to be both funny and sensual.

*This is not only a great noir detective story, it is firmly entrenched in the Potterverse magical world. Add in some lovely sexual tension, a wealth of details, a dash of humor, some twists and a great climax and you have a absorbing story here!
tourniquette wrote Land of the Trembling Earth (Luna/Rolf; NC-17; ~25,600) Enticements: Dark, explicit sexual scenes, some violence, minor character death, implied character deaths Summary: Luna goes on assignment deep in the heart of the vast marshs of Okefenokee Swamp, where she meets Rolf Scamander, grandson of the legendary Newt Scamander, Britain's foremost wizarding zoologist. He's charming, brilliant and handsome, and he's only interested in her. But is Rolf who he seems? As she lowers her defenses to let Rolf in, Luna discovers that her own personality has taken a darker turn. Her misadventures in the swamp force her to a terrible understanding: some secrets are better left in the wild.
*To me it is reminiscent of Hitchcock’s films with the cool blond, a sexy man of mystery, danger and a stunning climax.
Gabriella Du Sult wrote Acceptance (Lily/James; G; ~10,400) Summary: The announcement of a Halloween ball breeds excitement at Hogwarts; but for James Potter it just means another rejection from Lily -- or does it? This story is my take on how James and Lily got together.
*The closest thing you'll find to Rowling's writing a Lily/James story but with a better epilogue.

Sullen Skrewt drew Danse Macabre (Ensemble; PG) : : One of my favourite classical tunes ever is Danse Macabre by Camille Saint-Saens. It's based on a French poem by Henri Cazalis, whereupon Death calls the dead from their graves and then proceeds to play the fiddle for them whilst they dance. Anyway, I've tweaked it a little and so now the dead cast of Harry Potter are having a boogie.
