You know what it's been far too long since we've had one of? A movie night. I'm thinking a triple feature of the Star Wars movies. The good ones, not the crappy ones that George Lucas lost his mind and made later. We can't use the second floor common room because the telly's been moved into the infirmary, so what about the one on the first level ( Read more... )

Well, we can do more of them then, but this one's for everyone.

Have you decided on the next one?

I've been letting some of my relationships move by the wayside, and I need to fix that.

Sveta, you've had all the reason in the world to close yourself off for a while. I promise, I understand that. I've just been not checking in as often as I should be with some other people.

I'm not familiar with the phrase 'movie night'. Is it idiomatic?

I don't think good stories are idiomatic, really. There's something in them for everyone.

[Vasilia lofts a brow, slightly, as if to counterbalance her slight head tip. She's not sure if she's being teased.]

It's a group entertainment of some sort, then? Like a trimensional screening or a concert? In your opinion, am I sufficiently recovered and protected to attend?

[Not that anything but the direst circumstances on Aurora could see Vasilia joining a congregation of people and Aurorans don't tend to congregate, as a thing. But she's in a fairly good mood and it has been a boring, stressful few weeks.]

Yes, it's a screening. And I believe so with the new medications you're on.

Star. Wars? [Narvin thinks this might be a gritty war movie about a race that builds weapons out of stars. Movies in general aren't really his thing, but he's still trying to learn to be more sociable. Or at least pretend to be sociable. And at least there will be tea.]

I'll come. [And probably give unwanted commentary on all the technology, the battle strategy, and possibly be rooting for the Empire at first until someone explains that the Empire is an evil force of oppression, not a bastion of order trying to sustain itself against anarchic rebels.]

It's a brilliant series of films about a rebellion and an empire and has one of the best villains in it. Well, until they turned him into a whiny teenager.

I'll look forward to seeing you there.

[Martha's peacing in the middle of Jedi.]
