This was always my favorite time of year at the Barge. Christmas normally meant that things were going to be brilliant for a month. But this would be my third Christmas here and it's time for me to go. It seems so long ago, now, but in the the grand scheme of things, it really wasn't. Thank you for telling me about Harry. I'm sure I caused no small amount of rows between you and your husband in the beginning.

I understand now why the Admiral paired us. I think it needed to be that way, for both of us.

I'm really happy for both of you, and I hope your lives bring you all measure of joy.
