I don't have any news. I had a lovely weekend - went away and stayed with various pals. Also had hair cut, and lashings of wonderful colour. I always feel good when the pretty colours are fresh and new. *sprinkles hairdresser with sparkles of gratitude*

The low point of the weekend was seeing The Da Vinci Code. OK, I'm sure you're all laughing and

I take it neither of you read the "book"? I can't even comprehend how anyone would even think of going to see the movie (or I assume from all the horrid reviews "movie") afterwards.

*shudders* Worst. Thought. Ever. My stupid brain just told me that there will obviously be a Da Vinci Code 2 movie and possibly book.

I did read the book...and while the beginning was slow, I rather enjoyed it and was definitely looking forward to the Tom Hanks version of it.

But, again, if you do not know - I'm a big fan of the mindless blockbuster entertainment that most film-snobs abhor.

I didn't read the book and I don't tend to read reviews until after I've seen something, because I only care what I think.

I went because I did quite enjoy the trailer, and thought it was a promising cast/team. But that was a sucker thing because trailers lie, and I know this, and I should never be swayed by them.

I have learned... But have I really learned?
