Okay, I was reading the BBC NEws website today and came across a story about AIDs in India. I have an uncle with HIV and I have done research on AIDs/HIV in school so I try and read articles and updates I find in the news. The latest study has provided evidence that circumcised men are 50% less likely to contract HIV during heterosexual intercourse:

Yes, that article does support the basis that circumcision may be a preventative measure, but when you read the actual study, you find that although the study concludes that HIV-1 infection rates are higher among uncircumcised men then circumcised men, there are several factors that can account for this difference that are separate from the relationship of circumcision ( ... )

I can't argue with any of that, but it does help to explain how this information may have made it into the hands of the BBC in the first place. I admire and appreciate your thorough analysis of this matter.
