First, is there something wrong with LJ? While I'm editing my entry, every time the autosave thing updates, the page gets a little wider, eventually resulting in a text entry box that's wider than my browser window. Quite annoying

I'm not having that problem. It might have something to do with the advertisements they're implementing if you chose to do that off the main page. In that case, give them feedback and let them know.

As for the ads, try google video or youtube?
