Japantown and the Viz Building

Just checking back in before I forget anything that's been happening in the last few days. I've been in California for the past week and I'll be heading back tomorrow. It doesn't look like I'll be going. I'm come down with the respiratory flu so I doubt I'll be up to the con on Sunday. Makes me glad I didn't buy tickets ahead of time. I'll let you know if anything changes.

I only recently found out about the 20th Century Boys movies... I can at least say that the manga, from the whole 2 volumes that have been available to me, is fantastic. (Urasawa also worked joint with Tezuka on Pluto, by the way) Even more than the story itself is the way the characters are portrayed... but I think I just like Urasawa, as that seems to be his style.

Glad California was good!

It's good to know the manga is good. The movies where good, but not amazing. But that's often the case when a manga is turned into a live action movie. I will have to read the comic some time. Also, I though Urasawa did Pluto on his own, but that it's based on one of the characters from Astro Boy. I don't think he ever actually worked with Tezuka. But I could be wrong.
