After a long series of events that I don't feel like talking about, my mother is finally admitted into a rehab center. She went willingly, although the psychiatrist explained that he had grounds to commit her forcibly (I almost wish he would have so she wouldn't have the option to sign herself out of treatment..but whatever

Hey, I'm glad your mother is getting help. Addiction is hard to deal with, especially with immediate family. I can relate. I'm sorry your dad isn't being very supportive of your move, but I'm proud of you :) Hopefully he'll come around. I wish you the best of luck. Also, you're a great artist.

Thanks! I feel as though maybe she is unaware of what she's agreed to, but at this point and 2 hospitalizations later, this is probably a step in the right direction. The clinic has good references..I just hope she is able to overcome whatever demons she has.
