Hey, lady. I know we're not besties or anything, but addictions (including alcoholism) have plagued my immediate family for years. If you ever need a pal to talk, please don't hesitate to reach out. I know how hard it is, and how very few people get it. Stay strong, and I hope your mother embarks on her recovery again.
thanks! unfortunately, I feel it's very common, luckily my immediate friends don't have to deal with it to the extent that I do. I'm just very glad my mom made the decision to be strong and go without the force of us this time, and thanks! I'll definitely keep that offer open on the table, and same to you, i'm always interested in letting this stuff out! :)
I'm sorry it seems like there's no one to talk about about this IRL, but I'm glad you're posting and getting it all out somehow. I'm sending good vibes to you and your family, and hope your mom takes this opportunity to get better. Please keep me posted!
thanks lovey. I won't hear from her for about a month, but i'm going to write her a letter and hopefully visit when the grace period is finished. My dad is trying to get updated from the staff there, too!
