Important: Child paracetamol dosages updated

The UK’s drug regulator has issued new dosage guidelines for children’s liquid medicines such as Calpol and Disprol.

Interesting change though it will mean companies have to provide a double headed spoon for the 7.5 dose which most do not currently provide. We always gave a smaller dose than they are now recommending as was 5-10ml and is now 7.5 think I will stick with 5 for an easy life (one spoonful).

Not really new - that article is Nov 2011. Checking the bottle of calpol we have for the smaller lad (that we bought in the fourteen months since he was born), the dosing instructions on the side follow those given in the article.
