My attempt to develop a passable array of culinary skills is continuing. Rachael’s birthday party, which was an enjoyable event, provided the opportunity for further experiments. I made brownies using an old recipe my mom used use every now and then back when she spent more time cooking. I have experimented with this recipe before. The results

I thought the sugar content was perfect. That nice nip of bitter is oh so lovely.

So did I. But I suppose we are both fonder of the dark, semi-sweet stuff than most people are (the poor poor fools).
