Last night at the Opera

I've been using Opera for about the last five or so years on a regular basis. Partly it was for a desire to use something less bloated and faster then Internet Exploder, partly because security worries made me feel a bit safer by using a non mainstream product for my regular browsing ( Read more... )

I tried the no script plug in a couple of weeks ago in Firefox, and found it kept me logged out of LJ, so abandoned it. I assume you don't see this in Opera?

I am also keeping an eye on desktop linux, and seriously thinking that the next laptop will not have an M$ OS.

I am currently using LJ with Firefox + noscript and can't see any problems.

Me too (with noscript and curious). No problems on XP or Vista. I haven't even whitelisted any lj-related domains.

I'd suggest that maybe lj's cookies were being deleted, but I don't see how uninstalling noscript would have fixed that.

Recently I introduced her to the idea that Open Office can be used instead of the dreaded M$ Turd Processor.

Mmm, Office 2007. All the fun of being dragged backwards through a combine harvester.
