It's getting more and more like the 70s.

Recession, massive job losses, worries about the banking system, loss of faith in the government to help normal people and now wild cat strikes.

All we need now is rolling power cuts and the bin men to go on strike...

She doesn't know this yet, but none of the bins in uitlander's street were emptied yesterday ...

Good news: they seem to have been round today. I don't know how your street/estate got missed, they came round mine quite early, and I also saw them on the main street in the village mid-morning.

Sometimes they do that. Its very annoying.

Especially worrying: wildcat strikes in support of protectionism (in particular, keeping the furriners out).
