Name: Fran Viela
Series: Final Fantasy XII
Age: Relatively unknown but suspected to be over fifty years old.
Personality: Like others of her race, Fran is very calm and reserved but not in a timid fashion but rather in an a detached and unapproachable manner. She isn’t the kind of individual to gossip or chatter about mundane topics but she is a listener. She quietly observes her surroundings, perhaps mentally taking notes or such about the people she encounters. However, when Fran does speak, her words are worth more than gold because of the wisdom laced within her speech. She radiates a certain feel of timelessness towards those who are not familiar with Vieras in general because of the many years she has spent upon the earth.
Vieras age slower than humans, most of them appearing to be in their early twenties but are actually in fact older than forty or so years. It us unknown if Fran is immortal or not but she is certainly a lot older than what she seems to be and it’s obvious in her intelligence.
Fran’s frigid demeanor is usually unnerving for those who have grown used to dealing with thunderous and boastful characters. Although, once someone takes the time to get past her icy behavior, Fran can be quite genial towards those she considers as friends. If trust is forged between her and another, Fran acts as both an advisor and confidant to this person but not in a motherly manner. She maintains her ethereal persona even as a friend but her once frigid traits are no longer present for she speaks to them amiably and with a little bit of mirth.
Despite how horribly aloof she may seem Fran does have a sense of humor no matter how dry and sarcastic it might be. She is probably capable of laughter but such a thesis has not been proven as of yet for Fran never seem to actually chuckle but a coy smirk does appear upon her lips when she is amused. She finds humor in the naïve or simply the outlandish of men, sometimes jesting with remarks so witty that she can make a person blush.
Fran is not simply a silent wallflower but rather an active thinker who likes to keep her thoughts and opinions to herself unless the situation calls for them.
Background: Spending most of her life sheltered within the forbidden sanctuary of Eruyt, Fran was only a young girl when she started to take interest in the world beyond the Wood. A long time ago, the Viera locked themselves away from the rest of the world preferring isolation from humes and wizards alike. Believing that the world was unfit for their kind, the Viera settled within the deepest reaches of the forest and cloaked their village using powerful sorcery. The Vieras lived this way for many centuries in peace and prosperity but eventually such isolation began to tug on the hearts of the youth.
Like many sisters before her, Fran was unhappy with her life within Eruyt. She yearned for adventure, wishing for something more than the timeless land before her. As she aged, this yearning to seek out adventure grew more. Her interest in the rest of the world began to cause strife between her and sisters. Eventually this strife among her sisters is what drove Fran to leave the Wood. Never once looking back as she joined world of mortal men, Fran lived most of her years as a wayfarer who did odd jobs for local guilds. Her nomadic lifestyle did very little to curb the loneliness she felt and Fran eventually sought for friends.
However, given that the Viera are creatures who live longer than any hume, Fran’s search for friendship couldn’t be found among mere mortals. Doomed to wander the landscape forever exiled from both her sisters and the Wood, Fran eventually stumbled upon a magical school of wizardry.

Preferred House: Ravenclaw
Why you think they belong in this house? Considering that the House of Ravenclaw prides themselves upon their intelligence and cleverness, Fran would do well to join this house considering she posses both. Because of her long life, Fran’s knowledge of the world itself exceeds many. Fran’s wisdom is perhaps her greatest trait while her wit compliments her wisdom.
Staff Position: Divination Master
Why you think they fit this position? Since it is possible for Viera to listen to the mystical words of the Wood, Fran’s foresight and knowledge may have a more supernatural element to them. I do believe it would be possible for a Viera to master the fortunetelling arts without growing bored of it. In addition, Fran happens to be a fan of Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans so maybe this will help her chances to become the new teacher of the Divination course.
If Professor would you want them to be Head of House? Fran would be capable of handling such a task but it is very unrealistic to have a newcomer like her lead a house so soon.
