I don't normally post anything about tv but the last episode of Chuck really affected me, plus it ended with a cliffhanger which is pretty unusual for Chuck (even their end-of-season cliffhangers are never particularly suspenceful). I've finally found the time to re-watch it and verbalise how exactly it made me feel. Thank goodness it's only 2 days

Anyway can I say YES to all of the above? I'm sorry if I'm sappy or, you know, a 'typical girl' but I do love seeing the vulnerable side of Sarah because I do not believe she can be completely without feelings. I do believe there are some people in the world who don't have feelings, even girls, but you know... Sarah is a positive character on television, not a real life person so of course she has feelings. It's harsh to negate it or to want her to never show them. She's only human, even though a lot of the time she does appear to be a little detached from reality. She really is learning personal relationships from scratch at the end of the day and probably has the emotional maturity of a teenager. Then again Chuck isn't much better! They're both really dysfunctional, but at the end of the day they love each other, cling to each other so they know if they want to stay together they need to find a way to make ( ... )

Let me just say this one thing: there is a good resolution to the situation that had me worried for a week. That's not spoiler, right? It was kind of predictable, really, it's a feel-good show, it can't end too badly. But you never know on tv, especially not before a Xmas hiatus. Actually, there's still a chance of another cliffhanger that will last for weeks this time, because there is ONE more episode to go before the Xmas hiatus... but I really hope they go easy on us ( ... )

>>>I also like the conscious choice of wording "what are you doing in our home" - she is completely and utterly terrified of having a disruption in this pretty cocoon of a life they've created.
Ohhhh... Very good one! I didn't get that, but you're right, completely right.
>>>Personally, I don't think it's anti-feminist that they have to show her insecurities. I don't find it degrading, just real. I'm more bothered that she always has to be half naked and I'd find that degrading if I was Yvonne, but then they proceeded to widen the shot and there's Chuck in his boxers, so that shut me up.Ditto, ditto. Presenting a vulnerable woman isn't bad, per se. I mean, women are vulnerable, we aren't some kind of superwoman. We aren't always perfect and fluent and kick-ass, sometimes we're selfish or needy ( ... )

Oh, OK. But I feel bad, because if I write personal stuff is in Spanish, not in English, so I'm always worried that adding someone to the friends' list is going to be a little one-sided. On the other hand, it's been months since the last personal entry I wrote, because now I only have time for Chuck's picspams XD
>>>I'm just going by some things you mentioned in past recaps, for example that Sarah's dad has fans. I mean, WHAT?
Yes, I know... To be fair, most of them think he is a magnificent bastard, which is more bearable. But still...
>>>I think ever since I started working full time and actually having an adult life it's just been impossible to do things like fanfic and fanart...
Yes, I understand. I feel like you. I have to use my spare time for things like those, but I still find time, because they help me to disconnect.
>>>Just out ( ... )
