Do you have my e-mail address? Bluesilverkdg@aol.com if not. I know we used to IM, but I couldn't remember if I had that one then. Shoot me a line if you want.
Well, I want to know, but Jason doesn't. He has a point: we wouldn't do anything different based on the sex of the baby. No point enforcing those sexual stereotypes too early. On the other hand, there are enough surprises with a new baby, why add to it?
Wow! So excited for you! Hope that all continues to go well.
Would you like a hand-knitted baby blanket? I like to make them for firstborns of friends. If so, what colors should I use? Bright colors are good for babies, but if you want one in a single color, or pastels, let me know.
Aww, that would be very sweet. Let me pay you for the yarn. Let me know how much that comes to. I like reds, blues, and purples, and bright colors would be great. We don't know whether it's going to be a boy or girl yet, but I'm not into stereotyping by gender anyway, so it won't matter. Thank you so much!
So, primary red? Navy blue or primary blue? What shade of purple: light, medium or dark?
I might need to throw in a white or yellow or something as a contrast color so it doesn't get too muddled. Or maybe I'll just see if I can find a yarn that has those three colors. In something *WASHABLE* and soft. Should be more than $20-$30 for materials.
Glad you like the idea. I hope you will find parenting to be full of wonder and joy, as I have with my stepkids, who are growing so fast and are such delightful people to experience the world with. :-)
