You say you won't ever get used to it, but I predict that you will. And they're just going to get smaller.

Will they start developing implants for the left ear?

I think that's probably where I'd have an actual issue with it -- rather than it just being weird (even though these earpieces have been in use for a while). Until then, maybe I might get used to everyone looking like they're having conversations with the voices in their heads.

As a person who needs to leave the room to have a conversation on the phone, and talks as quietly and efficiently as I do.... I could never own one of those. Not to mention I get MAYBE a call a day on my phone, that MIGHT last upwards of 8 whole minutes.... not worth it.

For Xbox however... totally.

I won't ever get used to it either, but perhaps my child will. Which is kind of weird, because... how do you tell the crazy people who are shouting about "Millenium hand and shrimp" from the people who are just calling a taxi and ordering a pizza to be delivered shortly after they arrive at home?

Oh christ - it occurs to me that this marks us out as old, reacting the way we do. Fuck.
