Happy belated to princessdiabla, happy birthday to g00n

And a happy Guy Fawks day to all.

Nothing reminds us of the importance of this holiday so much as a kick ass anti-authoritarian movie.

Thank you, sweetie. I'm celebrating on the 11th, so you can just pretend you are saving all of your well wishes for then and are truly early. ;)

And we didn't (haven't) got Osoma before the 7th, but we are hanging Saddam. Yay...? (I have a personal hate of anything that interferes with the development of the international legal system - which, with the supposed death of empire, has more and more been the US) I am very far from "let us blow up parliament" but still frustrated. But, yes, great movie. It made me jelous my birthday wasn't today, but yesterday.

It's okay. We can celebrate together, and the party can be on the 5th. *toasts*

The graphic novel was better.

I happen to disagree, in this instance. I felt that the plot and the message held together better in the movie. Maybe if Moore could go back and touch it up, Lucas-style, it would work better. But, I think the graphic novel was just written over too long a time frame, and without a solid outline that he stuck to.

Of course, for many of the same reasons, I expect The Watchmen movie to be decidedly inferior to the graphic novel.
