Eye See See

ICC came and went, and here's my thoughts-

The hotel was small and crowded, but everyone knew it would be. Still, I felt like the lack of suitable meeting space forced us to compromise what would have been otherwise awesome scenes, like the Invictus meeting where DLT called out C, which would have been better had people not been shrieking at one ( Read more... )

It was lovely to see you, and I really enjoyed the moments of RP here and there in Lost. Your top hat was really neat looking, too.

I agree 100% about the space issues. That scene in the Invictus meeting could have been so amazing if we had the proper space. Also the tiny room they put the OOC Lost meet and greet in was a joke. Glad they swapped it with the mortals game space.

I had a blast interacting with your PC in Lost. Since I'm not all that familiar with all the dynamics of the venue, I feel that every interaction had an effect on the way the PC is evolving. I also loved rolling with your crew on Fri in requiem, even if I was the most ineffective PC in the group.

That ST mess with the killbox was just retarded. If you don't believe in killboxes, have someone else run the scene. Period. That situation was beyond ridiculous and hope to god it's appealed and fast.

"If you don't believe in killboxes, have someone else run the scene."

In Sean's defense (the narrator who ran this scene, not this one), he was told to wrap it up as quickly as possible. This doesn't make everything right, but I just wanted people to know that, as far as I know, he didn't go in there not believing in killboxes.

I was told that he said to the players involved in the scene/challgenes that he didn't believe in killboxes, or PC death and thought the players should be out roleplaying instead. I'm just going off what I heard - but it was indeed secondhand and could have been misrepresented in the telling.

We're talking about two different killboxes. The killbox I was in was fine. The killbox run by an ST who didn't believe in killboxes was not.

"No no no no more selling people."

AMEN. This always made me more than a little nervous. It just BEGS for esteem issues.

And yet, so many people get a charge off of being sold (well, until they sell for a couple nickles to a guy who looks like Uncle Remus) that it'll be hard to put the practice to bed for good.

But yeah, I'd like to see it end also.

Added you to my LJ.

RP with you in Lost was one of my high points at ICC.
