i think my problem tends to be that i think too much...and then i get myself into situations which prove to be too much for me and then i panic and then i do stupid things :(
and it makes sense at the time but then...afterward i kick myself. and hard!

Agreed. I know many friends who slept with their significant other before they even became official. My point was more based on the leading on that goes on between two people before dating is even mentioned.
