One would think the reception my previous replies received would be sufficient to limit my correspondents to more reasonable requests for guidance. One would be mistaken. A case in point:
You know what I love about you Mr. Snape? I love the fact that you manage to answer the question without actually answering the question. And you do so while insulting the asker and his/her friends.
I find that often the best advice is simply to point out the obvious. A sad commentary on human nature, true, but what is one to expect? Delusion is the natural state of homo 'sapiens'. Witness your profession of love for me.
Ahhh now, I never said I LOVED you. I am quite happy and secure in my cross species marriage with my human. I said I loved something ABOUT you. Far be it for me to quibble terms and split hairs on technicalites... however there is a difference.
Mr. Snape, I find you entertaining, fascinating and quite enjoyable to listen to and read, but by no means would I want to reside with you, either in "sin" or marriage.
Besides I have a feeling I'd end up in one of your potions.
On the contrary, I do intend to amuse. My audience, however, is myself. If others find me amusing as well, at least it will keep me employed during the current situation.
