Thoughts about the hunger strike

Regarding the hunger strike. Al Jazeera reported Sat. that 800 detainees suspended their hunger strike after some of their demands had been met. "Prison authorities had agreed to end practices of placing in small cells those prisoners who were being disciplined, as well as of "humiliating" body searches of prisoners who had been stripped naked

Yes there is "leadership" for the Palestinians if they want to follow Arafat or Islamic Jihad or Hamas... My comment was in oppositions to these "leaders", leaders which will not and do not represent my goal of resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict through united Palestinian and Israeli workers struggle, ultimately revolution. I know of no such leaders in Palestine advocating that method of struggle for peace. I agree with ulyanovist's comment, and think the current "leaders" of the Palestinians would be more appropriately termed misleaders

hey i couldnt find your response where yo said you were at petra, but ill probably be here for the next month at least, waiting for my visa to clear the way to other frontiers. im sure we'll see eachother! whether we recognise eachother or not is another thing! hahaha i wear a little less face paint.

I replied to one of your earlier posts I think. I'm not at the Petra anymore though, so meeting up sounds unfortunately unlikely. I called you at the number you gave me, but I got some guy who doesn't speak any english. That wasn't Leon, was it? In any case I'll try you again if I'm in the Jerusalem area. Goodluck wiht the visa. I just renewed mine a few days ago after it was...(can't incriminate myself) ready to be renewed. Take care. Sounds like your trip here has been really significant for you, which can't be a bad thing.

Sorry to bother you here, I remembered you had an LJ while I couldn't remember your phone number or e-mail address.

I'd like to ask a huge favor of you, and I'll even pay you for it:

All of my favorite books are at the Roth house, and if you could pick them up while you're in Israel and bring them back when you come to the U.S., store them at Peter's until I visit Massachusetts, and then have me pick them up, that would be amazing. Again, I'll definitely pay you for your efforts. I don't know if you're coming back within the next week, or if you're already back, but I hope you're still there and can help me out. If you're going to do this, all you need to do is ask Daniel and he'll know what books to give you.
