this page, before she meets up with Von Zinzer again.

Here is the page for her from the Girl Genius wikia.
First, some recommended reading. Agatha is a
Spark, a sort of mad genius scientist reality-bending buildymathing person. She is also a member of the
Heterodyne family, one of the most famous Sparky lineages. Her world is an alternate Earth, and Europe is known as
Europa, which is mostly under the control of
Baron Wulfenbach.
Character History:
Agatha has experienced quite a bit in her short life. She never knew her real parents, instead raised by foster parents named Adam and Lilith Clay, and her uncle Barry Heterodyne. She is the daughter of Bill Heterodyne and Lucrezia Mongfish and is their second child. For safety's sake, they raised her as Agatha Clay, and she didn't know her real name until much later.
At age five, she started to break through, much to her uncle Barry's dismay. To keep her from fully breaking through, and to protect her from the danger of growing up as a Spark, especially a female one (her family notwithstanding), he built a special locket for her. It kept her from entering the madness place - the state of hyperfocus that Sparks use to do their best work, by causing debilitating migraines. There are
two pages that show the true effect of it on her.
Because she grew up unable to truly focus on anything, Agatha believed herself to be stupid and useless. Nothing she built ever worked, or worse - exploded. At the age of 18, she was a student at Transylvania Polygnostic University in Beetleburg, where she served as a lab assistant to the headmaster of the university and city, Dr. Tarsus Beetle. One day, an electrical anomaly in town caused her to flee into an alleyway, where her locket was stolen by a pair of soldiers.
The lack of the locket took away the thing keeping her from fully breaking through, the thing that kept her in the dark for so many years. It started off slowly, coming in flashes while she was in the lab when Baron Wulfenbach and his son Gil were visiting. A bit of drama between Dr. Beetle and his underlings ended with the doctor's untimely death, and Agatha's building of her first clank, the
Search Engine. After the Baron and his son disabled (and then destroyed) the engine, Agatha was taken captive to Castle Wulfenbach.
On the Castle, Agatha rather reluctantly became friends with Wulfenbach's students (who were really his insurance policies against the noble families in his dominion), and meets Gil a second time. He recognizes her as a Spark after she helps him repair his flying machine mid-fall, and eventually is able to convince her to become his personal assistant. On the castle, she built her first Dingbots, found out she had a cousin, met Othar Trygvassen, Gentleman Adventurer (and the most annoying nearly indestructible person ever), and fell mostly in love with Gil. Oh, and met the king of all cats, Krosp I. Dr. Beetle's hive engine was activated by a traitorous scientist, prompting an evacuation of the Castle into the auxilliary airship fleet. Unfortunately, Gil and Agatha didn't make it out, and were nearly enslaved by the hive's swarm. It was quite the debacle overall, including one disastrous marriage proposal, and ended with Agatha's foster parents (the Heterodyne Boys' constructs, Punch and Judy) being torn apart before her eyes. Judy's last words to her were to urge her to get to
Castle Heterodyne, and that it would help her.
After successfully escaping Castle Wulfenbach with Krosp and ditching Othar, Agatha and crash-landed in the Wastelands, then met up with a travelling Heterodyne circus show type caravan. She kept herself well under-cover and travelled with them as Agatha Clay, making very good friends with a Skifandrian warrior princess named
Zeetha, who also became her fighting teacher. In one city, Agatha releases a trio of wild Jagermonsters who then join up with the group to protect her, as she's the Heterdyne heir (they can smell it on her) and they'd been given a mission to find an heir. While travelling, Agatha realized more and more that she had the inclination to hero it up, so to speak, throwing herself in danger repeatedly to help/save others.
When the show passed through the city of Sturmhalten, they were commanded to perform the somewhat lewd play "The Socket Wrench of Prague," in which Agatha played her own mother, Lucrezia, and came to the attention of the master of the place, Aaronev Wilhelm Stormvarous. Aaronev invited her to dinner afterward and took her prisoner, believing her to be the her to the Other (Lucrezia) that he'd been searching for the last eighteen years. Unfortunately, he never found out the truth, since he was murdered by
Anevka, who was then betrayed by her brother
Tarvek, who is also a powerful Spark and potential love interest for Agatha herself. An interesting string of betrayals and backstabbings led to Agatha's body being possessed by Lucrezia after being shoved into Aaronev's machine (which utilizes transdimensional harmonics). Lucrezua, who was delighted to be alive again, immediately started making plans to take over Europa (and start the wars up again). Some more betrayals (there are lots of them in this arc, I could hardly keep it straight sometimes) later, and not only did Lucrezia!Agatha escape back to the Circus (with the help of some hallucinogenic gas and a jacked airship), but the Baron attacked!
Lucrezia, being arrogant and evil, had a plan for the Baron, and infected him with a very special one of her slaver wasps, designed to control Sparks. Unfortunately for her, her narcissism proved her downfall. The Baron had Agatha's old pendant on him, and she put it on. In an instant, Agatha was back in the driver's seat. Also unfortunately, so was the Baron, who then slew
Lars, one of the circus actors who had quite the crush on Agatha (enough to leap in front of her to his death). Enraged by this, Agatha snapped. She screamed, her voice commanding all of the circus wagons to transform into the
Battle Circus she'd secretly modified them to be. Yes, Battle Circus. An epic Battle Circus that beat the Baron and his troops into a tactical retreat, until he managed to destroy the
Silverodeon that she was using to control it. At that point, a
chicken house fell on the Baron's head, severely injuring him and allowing the circus group to escape and head towards Mechanicsburg and Castle Heterodyne.
She entered Mechanicsburg quietly and undercover, only to find out that an
imposter heir was trying to take her place. The imposter, Zola, was a plant (not THAT kind of plant) put together by Tarvek (as the heir to the Storm King) and a group called the Knights of Jove, who wanted to take control of Mechanicsburg by destroying the Castle's consciousness. Anyone who could keep a "legitimate" claim on the city by keep control of the Castle would be able to start taking over Europa in the name of te Heterodynes. This was obviously more than a little annoying to Agatha, who'd been through so much already to get there. She made contact with the former seneschal of the castle,
Carson von Mekkhan, and was introduced to coffee by his grandson, Vanamonde.
It’s at this point that Agatha discovered coffee. Coffee is fantastic and amazing and puts her right into the madness place and makes her want to build. She spent several hours truly warping the laws of nature and building the most perfect coffee engine which brews the
most perfect coffee. Literally perfect. She later had to make some changes to the new and improved coffee engine so that it wouldn’t break people anymore. How frustrating! Science demands perfection! Lesson learned: Don’t give Agatha coffee.
Fun coffee time aside, it was time to get into the castle. Von Mekkhan took Agatha into the catacombs to speak with the Castle directly. It couldn’t confirm her as a Heterodyne there, but requested her help nonetheless, since it knew it was broken and that people were trying to destroy it entirely. Afterwards, the group witnessed Gil destroy an entire army’s worth of giant battle clanks outside the city, then Agatha made for the Castle.
She was snuck inside the way convicts were sent in - as a prisoner, under the radar. There she discovered Moloch von Zinzer, who’d been the reason she was taken to Castle Wulfenbach in the first place (they assumed she was his lover, and figured that she’d be a good bargaining chip against him). Von Zinzer helped Agatha get to the castle’s library, where she was taken to the
Chapel of Bones, where Agatha was finally confirmed once and for all as the Heterodyne heir (with a hefty cut on the arm to do a blood test). It was then, before she was able to meet back up with Von Zinzer, that she was brought to the Nexus.
Character Personality: Agatha is eighteen and just really starting to make her way in the world (with a bang, of course!) as a very powerful Spark with a good heart. In her relatively short life, she's seen a lot, and grown quite a bit from her beginnings in Beetleburg. She's finally come into her own as the Heterodyne heir and Spark, and is finally confident in her own abilities. Having seen her parents ripped apart, her friends get injured and killed in her defense, and being hunted across the country has changed her from the naive goody two-shoes city girl she used to be.
She's still a sweet girl and tends to be kind to everyone at first, though she will make exceptions for certain people (Othar and Klaus for some examples). She has a pretty wicked sense of humor, is loyal to her friends, and will throw herself into danger to help people who need it. Even under cover she couldn’t help but try to help people, marking herself as a definite hero as opposed to the usual breed of Heterodyne. Partly due to her Sparkiness and mostly due to her own personality, Agatha tends to gather friends very easily.
While very kind, Agatha has no problem getting ruthless and violent if she has to, though she prefers to avoid it and does not kill when it can be avoided. If threatened she will not take it nicely, especially not now that she's just been properly confirmed as The Heterodyne Heir and been torn away from her Castle.
Powers:
This list of Sparky styles will help explain more about Agatha's abilities.
As a Spark, Agatha has an serious aptitude for building things. All kinds of things. And fixing them as well. Most of her inventions are cobbled together from scavenged parts from other things, to many varied effects, including a coffee engine that brews literally perfect coffee (though she had to un-perfect it so it would stop breaking people).
She's also got a ton of charisma. If a character is inclined to be a follower-type, they may be inclined to listen to her and do as she asks. This trait increases greatly when she is angry and/or in the madness place (though it's just as much from people being scared of her at that point).
She is excellent in building
clanks and other machines. Some of her most notable accomplishments in this area are the
Dingbots, small, self-replicating semi-autonymous machines, the
Battle Circus, the
Silverodeon that controls the circus, and the
Coffee Engine. Aside from the clanks, Agatha has also demonstrated a serious knack for building weapons of all sorts (the Battle Circus can be included here also). She's capable of building a number of different kinds of
Death Rays, including one (in the future) that
pierced a mountain. Seriously.
Agatha also is able to produce a special sort of music called
Heterodyning, which helps her to focus. Usually it is formed as a hum, but she also played it on the Silverodeon to control the Battle Circus, and could feasibly use any sort of musical instrument to play it.
While Agatha isn't possessed of the increased strength and stamina that her boyfriend some other Sparks have, she has been in training for agility and fighting-stuff. Mostly agility. It's not much, but jumping dodge rolls are quite useful sometimes if someone's shooting at you.
Samples
First person: Right, then.
I'm looking for parts. Of any sort, any level of repair, anything. I need to brush up on my skills a bit, and learn more about how things work here. I'm used to scavenging, so that's definitely not out of the question.
Any recommendations? I don't have much in the way of money - that's one of the reasons I'm looking for parts. I've a knack for building useful things that could hopefully be sold.
Thanks in advance!
Third Person: Agatha frowned, looking at the pile of machine bits and refuse (and most likely dead bodies of all sorts). So this was the Heap, was it? Well, she'd dealt with some disgusting things in her life, but she had to admit that this really took the cake. The scent alone was making her eyes water.
Glaring at a passerby, she adjusted the laser cannon slung across her back and set down the bag she'd been carrying. Better not to look like a target in a place like this, she figured, at least as much as a human in a city of giant clank/constructs could manage to not look like a target. The gun on her back wasn't the one to look out for, anyway. The real troublemaker was the small one holstered at her right hip, which was her best and most favorite invention to date.
Out of the bag Agatha pulled what looked like its own little pile of junk, but was really the pieces of a nice little rolling cart to help her make off with the goodies later. This she dumped on the edge of the pile, as if leaving it. Hopefully it wouldn't get stolen while she was up there. If it did, no matter. She'd only take what she could carry. Making a faint noise of distaste, she started climbing the pile carefully, figuring that everything good would've already been picked out of the edges of the heap. Not that she needed parts for anything in particular, but they were always useful to have around when inspiration struck, as it often did.
"Ah, yes, this will do nicely," she muttered to herself, having found a particularly interesting piece of something. It had probably been a piece of someone, but she didn't care to think about that too hard. The bag from before was produced from a pocket and unrolled. The piece of whatever it was disappeared into the bag, which she settled on a flat part of the junk pile to wait while she rooted around some more. Good thing she was wearing heavy gloves; the sheer amount of pointy and sharp bits would've sliced her hands to ribbons by now.
A double handful more of choice parts went into the bag, both for building and for general study. She had so much to learn about the Cybertronians! So much to do! Even the bits and pieces she was seeing in the pile filled her mind with ideas. But ah, it wouldn't do to fall into the madness place here - that was a terrible plan. So, she carefully hefted the bag and made her way back down, still keeping an eye out for anyone nearby. It was deserted, for the time being, which gave her the five minutes needed to assemble her cart, settle the bag on the cart, and head off.
