It's a lot easier to talk on the phone to strangers than you would think. I find it much easier than talking to people I know. At least with strangers, if you accidentally talk over each other, it doesn't matter. With friends it's more awkward and you have to actually see them later. Unless! You stop being their friend because of it. Which I recommend.
